Christmas Bird Count

Skill Level: All skill levels.

When: 2021 count dates not announced yet.

Each Christmas Bird Count is conducted on a single day between December 14 and January 5. Counts are carried out within a 24-km diameter circle that stays the same from year to year. Christmas Bird Count for Kids

Skill Level: Beginner.

Inspired by the well-loved, traditional Christmas Bird Count, the CBC4Kids engages new generations of young birders across North America.

When: Throughout December and January.

Findings are submitted through an online checklist and reported to Nature Counts and eBird Canada, where they can be used in scientific research.
