The description of PIBO\u2019s educational programming in the 2012 Conservation Awards Program (\u00a9ERCA 2013).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On January 17, 2013, at their Annual General Meeting, Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) handed out their 2012 Conservation Awards, which ERCA present to \u201c[\u2026] honour and recognize those organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions toward improving our natural environment and history and ultimately, the health and quality of life in the Essex Region.\u201d Pelee Island Bird Observatory was the grateful recipient of the Education Award for Organizations. We at PIBO are honoured to be recognized for our work educating students and the general public alike. Thank you to ERCA and those who nominated us for this award. We are also grateful for the many staff, volunteers, educators, students, and community members who have contributed to our education programs. And to our fellow 2012 Conservation Award recipients, congratulations!<\/p>\n
