“Pyrrhuloxia, Cardinalis sinuatus Bonaparte,” by Andrew Jackson Grayson. Grayson (1812-69) considered his Birds of the Pacific Slope (1852-69) to be a completion of John James Audubon’s Birds of America. Pairing great art with great literature, Arion Press creates beautiful books by hand, and is pleased to offer this broadside from Grayson’s masterpiece to share with the PIBO community. A rare, limited-edition, full-colour lithographic print from The Birds of the Pacific Slope (1986), 19 x 25 inches, unframed.
Thank you to Paul Jones, Mike V.A. Burrell, Richard K. Cooper, Sumiko Onishi, and all the talented and persistent bird photographers who generously shared their images with PIBO to enhance your enjoyment of this website.
