Guided birding tour in Windsor area with Jennifer Nantais
A Guided Birding Tour in the Windsor, Ontario, Area, with Jennifer Nantais. As PIBO works toward its goal of making Windsor one of Canada’s first Bird Friendly Cities, our Urban Bird Educator Jennifer Nantais offers a guided tour for a group of four to see the wide diversity of birds that the city has to offer. The tour includes a visit to the five parks that make up the Ojibway Prairie Complex – Ojibway Park, Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve, Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park, Black Oak Heritage Park and Spring Garden Natural Area. The group will experience the history of the Ojibway complex, visiting wetland, forest, prairie and savannah habitats. As well as an incredible variety of birds, the group will also encounter mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects and plant species, many of which can be found nowhere else.
Taking in all five parks can make for a long day, so be sure to prepare a lunch and come equipped with water, insect spray, sunscreen, a hat and appropriate clothing and footwear. Close to your travel date, contact to arrange the date of your trip and find out what you will need, as well as to ask any questions that you have. Spring dates are available until June 20th; dates afterwards can be arranged as requested. Your guide will keep a tally of the birds that you see, so bring your camera and/or binoculars and see how many you can find!
There are no bids.
